It always impresses me about the open source community how quickly they can spring from an idea to a project and then into an application. One such event was the small but amazingly useful creation of Seeker` which helped the UKTeam to log their IRC meetings. The simple eggdrop bot has proved invaluable for tracking topics, agreements and votes and taking notes of the conversations as they occur. From this little eggdropbot a team have formed, the Ubuntu Scribes , and tonight ( 5th February 8pm UTC ) they are meeting to discuss where next for the team and how can it benefit the community. If you are like me, you like to get things done , and you dont like the auditing and documentation that goes along with it then take some time to drop in on the channel tonight.
