If you're an SME looking for a cost effective solution, wordpress is a good solution but If you're a multi-national looking for language support, eCommerce (not paypal), integration with your existing CRM, Stock Control, then you'll most likely need an agency that can build a bespoke system. I would also warn away from agencies that give you their sole solution as "You need a blog".
